Cuz everybody brainwashed, caught up in mythology.

On my way to school, catching the 106.
Thinking to myself, "shit I'm probably hella late.
Stuck in the back, looks like I just gotta wait."

I'm from the city with gentrification,
And taxation, economy inflation,
Fuck opinions, I speak from intuition,
Capitalism has turned into your religion.

everybody changing, I don't know who to trust.

I don't got friends yo I only got family.

From the city where they always play hip hop, but,
Corrupt cops will murder you with a gun shot.
I'm spitting poetry locally hella openly,
But if you gotta issue, yo, try diplomacy.

Im from the city of rain but Theomatic spitting flames,
I'm Never lame, word play is in effect,
Rhymes so hot I make a Jalapeno sweat.

On a serious note, the city changing.
And There's nothing we can really do to stop it.
So I drop it, when I'm on the mic.
If you say you love the city yo you better think twice.
